Why...

Please tell me why!

This happened a couple of weeks ago when there was an advertisement on T.V for a 10 day trial. Then remembering that a friend was addicted i thought i'd see what was so 'great' about it.

WORLD OF WARCRAFT!!!! *sobs*

Yes, world of warcraft, the devil of games and squeezer of money. Before downloading it i looked at how much it was going to cost every month, and oh my god, may not seem much if you have a job but it's £9 a month. They do have two additional options for 6 months and 12 months. But still. It got me more interested to what it was like.

Two and a half days after downloading and attempting to download straight from the internet i finally get to play the game. So made my choices and made a character, longish intro before playing and i'm landed into a world of warcraft, thats what i thought. I played and tried to learn the controls, see what the game play is like. It was not as i expected.
The graphics were okay, Fighting was turn-based except when you got attacked by a whole herd of them, HP and (depending which class) mana/rage went up/down after batttle, it's really tiring having to run from one place to another because it took so long, they are other ups and downs but i can't really think of them.

During the 6-ish days i had playing on WoW my first character was a female night elf warrior called, Darkakira. I died so many times at the beginning it was unbelievable. One of the most annoying experiences i had was when i couldn't remember how i got to a certain village so i tried to jump off a cliff to get to it and died. Then it took me two times to try and find the body (when you die you can release your spirit straight away but you only return to the village with a spirit healer then find your body that way), failed the first time because i didn't push the button to get back into my body, the second time i managed to do it. Once back i fell again and died, at least i was closer to the bottom, luckily i managed to come back to life for the thrid time. So i got to a level 11 and i saw some people with a pet and i wanted one. So saved a lot of money to buy a pet, got a Hawk owl, goes and trains it and nothing happens. I goes on the internet and i find out i needed to be either a hunter or a warlock to train beasts.

so...

I made another character, male night elf hunter called, Darkodin. Level 9 and making a bit of money and only about 10 silver away from buying another owl. Then today WoW connects me but dosen't leave the singing in page. Well done... I think it may of expired.

So there you have it. The reason why i havent been on. Because i was on WoW. And i enjoyed it even if it was slow paced.
